English Pear and Freesia

Myrrh and Tonka

Created by  perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui, Myrrh & Tonka is a wonderful fragrance that is sweet, mellow and resinous. Since its launch in 2016, it has become a  favorite in the Jo Malone fragrance line.

What Does Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka Smell Like?  

Myrrh & Tonka opens warm, sweet, and extremely smooth. The note of myrrh is at the forefront, right from the getgo, giving off a sweet and resinous scent. Along with the myrrh is the note of tonka bean, a smooth, sweet, and creamy note. Together, these two fragrance notes create an extremely pleasant scent that`s smooth, warm, and inviting.

 Not long after the opening, the notes of vanilla and almond start to show themselves. These are two sweet and creamy gourmand notes that blend in perfectly with the myrrh and tonka bean. The sweetness of the vanilla really ties in with the sweet myrrh and the nutty and creamy scent of almond perfectly accentuates the tonka bean.  

From here, the fragrance won`t really change that much anymore. Myrrh & Tonka is a rather linear perfume, but a good one at that. Its buzzwords really are `sweet` and `creamy`, but all of that is balanced out slightly by an undertone of lavender. The lavender is aromatically fresh, but very soft and doesn`t really push away any of the other notes.

Mimosa and Cardamom

Nectarine Blossoms and Honey

Nectarine Blossom & Honey is a great fragrance that smells exactly what you expect. Released in 2005, this golden sweet perfume was created by none other than Jo Malone himself!

Blue Agava & Cacao

Blue Agave & Cacao is a very interesting fragrance at home. This perfume  is rich, warm and spicy, but  also has hints of chocolate. Created by Jo Malone, this perfume was launched in 2006.

Top notes are cardamom, lime blossom, grapefruit and red berry. Middle notes are orchids, lilies and geraniums. Base notes are cocoa, vanilla pods, cinnamon, vetiver & musk.

The opening of Blue Agave & Cacao is warm and slightly fresh, mixed with  several spicy and floral notes.
